Two Written Witnesses

Scripture says there must be two witnesses before a matter can be accepted as truth

according to the Old Testament Moses...

Deuteronomy 19 15 One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.

the New Testament Jesus...

Matthew 18 15 Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. 16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. 17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.

and the New Testament Paul...

2 Corinthians 13 1 This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.

There are two Divine witnesses of Jesus as Son of God...

John 8 16 And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me. 17 It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true. 18 I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.

...the Father and the Son Jesus.

There are two Old Testament human but divinely inspired witnesses of Jesus.

Moses....

Deuteronomy 18 15 The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken.

John 5 39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. 40 And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.41 I receive not honour from men.42 But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you.43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.44 How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?45 Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust.46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me; for he wrote of me.47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

And there are two New Testament divinely inspired witnesses of Jesus.

John the baptist and the apostle John who wrote about the baptist...

John 1 6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

Revelation forewarns of two church witnesses for Jesus.

Revelation 11 3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days,clothed in sackcloth. 4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.

Revelation 1 20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.

And there are two written witnesses of Jesus the Messiah...

The Old Testament and the New Testament.
