The Messiah's crucifixion and resurrection during the Season of Redemption brought in the kingdom of God at Pentecost (Holy
Shavu'ot). And with it came salvation and eternal life to all who call on Him.
But it is after a day of Trumpets when
the seventh trumpet shall sound that Jesus will return. At this time all the kingdoms of the world will be taken by
the Messiah. This time is called the Season of Sabbath and is the "Millenium" because it is the final thousand years when
Christ will rule over all the earth.
Revelation 11 15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The
kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
This thousand
years is called "the Lord's day" (Rev. 1:10).
Revelation 1 10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice,
as of a trumpet
2 Peter 3 8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and
a thousand years as one day.
When it begins, the holy days of Leviticus which take place in the fall (autumn) become
fulfilled (Lev. 23:23-44).
The autumn holy days begin a day of rest for the nation of Israel ("there remaineth
therefore a rest to the people of God") (Heb. 4:9) because they will find rest in Jesus from sin when they accept Him
as their Messiah and Savior.
Those who have become believers during the Season of Redemption have found their
rest in Jesus. In this way, for them the fall holy days have already been fulfilled.
Matthew 11 28 Come unto me, all ye that labour
and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye
shall find rest unto your souls.
The believers will be resurrected and transformed and will rule with Christ. This resurrection
of the believers is called the first resurrection.
Revelation 20 4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was
given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not
worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and
reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the
first resurrection.
Holy Day 5: Day of Trumpets
Leviticus 23 23 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 24 Speak
unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing
of trumpets, an holy convocation.25 Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
The day
of Trumpets (v. 24) begins in the seventh Jewish month Tishri on the first day of the month. It is a special Sabbath (v.25). Its
fulfillment is explained in the New Testament in the gospels and letters. Notice Leviticus' day of blowing of trumpets (v.
24) in that the word "trumpets" is plural. The significance is the seventh trumpet which will signal Christ's return.
The
seventh trumpet sounds. The Lord returns from heaven and resurrects all of those who have become believers from the
time of Adam to the time when He returns, and they will be with the Lord. Those still living will be resurrected through
transformation.
Matthew 24 30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth
mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he shall send his angels
with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
1
Corinthians 15 51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling
of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
It
is at this time that the Jewish people and the children of Israel (the 12 tribes) will turn to the Lord as God, Savior,
and their long awaited Messiah: "there remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God" (Heb. 4:9), "...until the fulness of
the Gentiles be come in. And so all Israel shall be saved..."(Rom. 11:25-26).
For the Church age which began during the Season
of Redemption, the day of Trumpets is also fulfilled with the birth of the Messiah, believed to have taken place on
September 11, 3 B.C. (Martin), signaled by the special star of His birth (Matt. 2:1-2, Rev. 12:1-2 ). Evidence of Christ's birth
having taken place in 3 B.C. can be obtained in Scripture and through historical records. In 3 B.C. the holy day of Trumpets
occurred on September 11.
While for the Church age, His birth fulfilled the day of Trumpets, his conception fulfilled the
feast of Dedication, also known as Hanukkah, which is on the 25th day of the Jewish month Kislev. The Jewish holy day Hanukkah
takes place during the winter. In Scripture, it is known as the feast of Dedication and shows its special importance through
Jesus' observance of this holy day (John 10:22-23). The extra candle that is used to light all of the candles on the Menorah
on Hanukkah is symbolic of Jesus who is the Light of the World (John 8:12) who entered into the world on this feast day.
This "entering into the world" is His conception.
The feast of Dedication on the Jewish calendar the date of 25th of
kislev coincides with the December 25th date on the Gregorian calendar. It is celebrated by the Christian world as Christmas
which means that although it is celebrated as the day of Jesus' birth it is actually a celebration of His conception.
Holy
Day 6: Day of Atonement
Leviticus 23 26 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 27 Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there
shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made
by fire unto the LORD. 28 And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you beforethe LORD your God. 29 For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people.30 And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people. 31 Ye shall
do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. 32 It shall be unto you a
sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your
sabbath.
The day of Atonement occurs on the 10th day of the seventh Jewish month Tishri (v. 27), 10 days after the day of Trumpets.
This 10 day period is known as the "Days of Awe." During this time, people are given the opportunity to repent of their sins.
The
day of Atonement is a day of confession and is the highest of holy days. It is celebrated yearly by the Jewish community as a
day to repent from the previous year's sins, which is believed to be how it will be fulfilled during the time of the Messiah.
The Days of Awe give mankind time for repentance. On the day of Atonement, if proper and sincere repentance has been
made, a person's name will be inscribed in the Book of Life.
[For those who have already repented and given their life to
Christ during the Church age, it is understood that from the day of their repentance their repentance should be sincere and done on
a regular basis, always striving to live a righteous life.]
The day of Atonement on the tenth day of the year starts on the
ninth in the evening (v. 32) (a Jewish day from evening to evening). Like the day of Trumpets, it is also a special Sabbath (v.
28).
The Jubilee year, a year celebrated in Mosaic law every 50 years which granted freedom and slavery and restoration
of property, was always proclaimed on the day of Atonement (Lev. 25).
For the believers of the Church age, this day is prophetically
fulfilled in Jesus as High Priest the Atoner Mankind: "The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after
the order of Melchizedek." (Ps. 110:4, Heb. 6:20, Heb. 7-10).
So then, He who can give atonement is also He who will be judge
of all the earth (Matt. 25:31-33, 2 Cor. 5:10, 2 Tim. 4:1, Rev. 11:15-19).
Holy Day 7: Feast of Tabernacles
Leviticus 2333 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 34 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall
be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the LORD. 35 On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile
work therein. 36 Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation untoyou; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein.37 These are the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD,
a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his day: 38 Beside the sabbaths of the LORD,
and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill offerings, which ye give unto the LORD. 39 Also in the
fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days:
on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath. 40 And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs
of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the
LORD your God seven days. 41 And ye shall keep it a feast unto the LORD seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in
your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month. 42 Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born
shall dwell in booths: 43 That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them
out of the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God. 44 And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of the LORD.
This feast
called the feast of Tabernacles occurs on the 15th day of the Jewish month Tishri (v. 34), fifteen days after the day of Trumpets.
It is to be kept for seven days.
The first day is a special Sabbath (v. 35).
The tabernacle signifies the Lord's shelter
and a holy place of worship for the world to come. As High Priest, Jesus will tabernacle among His people on this special
Sabbath (Ez. 37:27).
Ezekiel 37 28 And the heathen shall know that I the Lord do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the
midst of them for evermore.
And He will dwell among us.
This special day is also prophetically fulfilled for the Church age
in Jesus. As the Lord will be a Tabernacle on this Day, so did He dwell or tabernacle among us while previously here
on earth.
John 1:14 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten
of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
["dwell" from the Greek skenoo: to tent, encamp) (Strong 463)
He will continue to tabernacle with the believers in
Spirit until His return (John 3:5). "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me" (Gal.
2:20).
God dwelt in the Tabernacle with the Hebrew people at the time when Moses led His people through
the desert.
The eighth day, the day following the last day of the feast of Trumpets, is also a special Sabbath (v. 36). This
day celebrates a new beginning that will be never ending, the eighth "day" (Rev. 21).

Further
study:
Ezekiel prophesied the millennial day of the Lord.
Ezekiel 37 15 The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,16 Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then
take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim and for all the house of Israel his companions: 17 And join
them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand. 18 And when the children of thy people shall speak unto
thee, saying, Wilt thou not shew us what thou meanest by these? 19 Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the
stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the
stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand .20 And the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thine
hand before their eyes. 21 And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land: 22 And I will make them one nation in
the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall
they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all. 23 Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their
detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwelling places, wherein they have
sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God. 24 And David my servant shall be king over them;
and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them. 25 And they shall
dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they,
and their children, and their children's children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever. 26 Moreover I will
make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will
set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore. 27 My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall
be my people.28 And the heathen shall know that I the LORD do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them forevermore.
Judah and all the tribes of Israel will become one nation under One Leader (v. 16-17). The children of Israel
will have one Shepherd, David "my servant" (v. 24). David as this Shepherd is a descendant of David prophesied as the eternal
Shepherd for mankind. This eternal Shepherd is Jesus the Messiah who will dwell with Israel. The sanctuary of the Lord will be
"in the midst" of Israel forever (v. 28) and He will be Shepherd for Mankind (Matt. 1, John 10).
Isaiah also foretold of
the holy Sabbath day of the Lord.
Isaiah 11 1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out
of his roots: 2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and
might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; 3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and
he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: 4 But with righteousness shall he judge the
poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth: with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath
of his lips shall he slay the wicked. 5 And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling
together; and a little child shall lead them. 7 And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and
the lion shall eat straw like the ox. 8 And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his
hand on the cockatrice' den. 9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge
of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. 10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the
people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious. 11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall
set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from
Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. 12 And he shall set up an
ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners
of the earth. 13 The envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off: Ephraim shall not envy Judah,
and Judah shall not vex Ephraim. 14 But they shall fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines toward the west; they shall spoil them
of the east together: they shall lay their hand upon Edom and Moab; and the children of Ammon shall obey them. 15 And the LORD shall
utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with his mighty wind shall he shake his hand over the river, and shall smite it
in the seven streams, and make men go over dryshod. 16 And there shall be an highway for the remnant of his people, which shall be
left, from Assyria; like as it was to Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.
The Messiah (v. 1-5) will
judge (v. 4) and the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord (v. 9) .
Verse 10 refers to Messiah's "rest"
which is the salvation Jesus gives. (Heb. 4). Jesus as Lord of Sabbath (day of rest) (Luke 6:5) gives rest. The gentiles
who will "seek" Him will find "rest" in Him (v. 10). This speaks of the Church age and the salvation the gentiles have found in the
Messiah.
"In that day," "the Lord shall set his hand again the second time." (v. 11). This prophecy implies that the Messiah
would come to earth a first time or how else could there be a second time?
In agreement with Ezekiel 37 (above), He will
gather the 12 tribes of Israel together as a nation (v. 11-13) (Compare to Hos. 6:1-3). In Jesus, they will find their atonement. The Church (those who have found salvation in Jesus before the millennium) is exonerated and owes no atonement. Jesus already
did that for them when they accepted Him as Savior.
All people will appear before the judgment seat in order to "receive
the things done in his body" (2 Cor. 5:10).
Those who have found salvation in Jesus before the Millennium will
also be with Jesus during the Millennium to rule with Him and to serve Him (1 Cor. 6:2, Rev. 20:4-6).
Paul prophesies
the time of the Sabbath.
1 Thessalonians 5 1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. 2 For
yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety;
then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. 4 But ye, brethren, are not
in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. 5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are
not of the night, nor of darkness. 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. 7 For they that sleep
sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. 8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the
breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. 9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation
by our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. 11 Wherefore comfort
yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
"Let us not sleep" (v. 6). Don't get caught up in the world but "be
sober" and stay with the Lord. Be "children of the light" and "not of the night" (v. 5) so that the day
(Millennial day) will not "as a thief" overtake you (v. 4).
Revelation 3 3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and
heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what
hour I will come upon thee.
New Testament Scripture speaks of the time before the millennial Sabbath as the time of the
fulfilling of the gentiles, which is brought to fruition with the ministry of the gospel throughout the world.
Matthew 24 14
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
Luke
prophesies when the time of the gentles is fulfilled and the Jewish people as a nation return to God through acceptance
of the Messiah.
Luke 21 24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalemshall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
Paul wrote about when the times of the Gentiles
will be fulfilled.
Romans 11 1 I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham,
of the tribe of Benjamin. 2 God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how
he maketh intercession to God against Israel saying, 3 Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am
left alone, and they seek my life. 4 But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who
have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal. 5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election
of grace. 6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no moregrace: otherwise work is no more work. 7 What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained
it, and the rest were blinded. 8 (According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not
see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day. 9 And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock,
and a recompence unto them: 10 Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway. 11 I say then, Have
they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke
them to jealousy. 12 Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; howmuch more their fulness? 13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office: 14 If
by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them. 15 For if the casting away of them be
the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead? 16 For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump
is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches. 17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive
tree, wert grafted in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree; 18 Boast not against the branches.
But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee. 19 Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might
be grafted in. 20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: 21 Forif God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. 22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God:
on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. And
they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again. 24 For if thou wert cut
out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these,
which be the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree? 25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this
mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles
be come in. 26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn awayungodliness from Jacob: 27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. 28 As concerning the gospel, they
are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the father's sakes. 29 For the gifts and calling of
God are without repentance. 30 For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy. 32 For God hath concluded them all
in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all. 33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable
are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! 34 For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor? 35 Or
who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again? 36 For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things:
to whom be glory for ever. Amen.
God will be with His people as a nation through the Messiah (v. 25-27). The "fulness of
the gentiles" (v. 25) will be time for the Jewish people as a nation to accept Yeshua as their Savior.
Atonement for the
Jewish people (v. 26-27) takes place during the Millennium.
Zechariah prophesied the seventh day Sabbath when the Lord will
return with His saints.
Zachariah 14 1 Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. 2
For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished;
and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. 3 Then shall
the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. 4 And his feet shall stand in that day
upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward
the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and
half of it toward the south. 5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto
Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the Lord my God shall
come, and all the saints with thee.
Zechariah also prophesied the "day" after the final Sabbath, the eternal day known as
the Eighth Day.
Zachariah 14 6 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark: 7 But it shall
be one day which shall be known to the Lord, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.8 And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them
toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.
And John wrote about this everlasting "day."
Revelation 22 1 And he shewed
me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 In the midst of the street
of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every
month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and
of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: 4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.5
And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveththem light: and they
shall reign for ever and ever.
On this day, God will dwell on earth with mankind for eternity. There will no longer be day and
night but only day.
