It is commonly believed the writers of the New Testament are those followers of Jesus given credit for its writings, which sometimes can be found in the title
of the book or letter (epistle). Some of the writers insert their name at the beginning of the their work. Still, there is some controversy who actually wrote them. Validation of the writers can be gained from researching beyond the names given in their writings. Further witnesses for these writings are found in
documents from apostolic fathers (early church leaders) and in other Christian writings.

The following pages discuss the writers of the New Testament.
